1280TVL - Video Signal Dropping and Audio Static

Post by bnooyen »

Three days ago I finished installing the following system in my house:
https://www.amazon.com/Amcrest-Security ... ystem&th=1

Everything was working great up until this morning, when I noticed two of the cameras acting strangely.

1) One of the outdoor bullet cameras is dropping it's video feed, it plays back for about 3 seconds, then 2 seconds of black, then 3 seconds of video.. over and over. Nothing changed over night, all cabling is still secure... Is this problem common? I rebooted the DVR this morning, but still the issue persisted.

2) One of my indoor dome cameras' video quality is incredibly poor, and if I open up the video feed of that particular camera itself, on my DVR / TV (TV is acting as monitor) I hear a very harsh static. I can't seem to up the quality of it either. There are no audio lines nor capabilities in my current configuration.

In the past, when I first installed, I was able to fix quality issues by resetting the display settings back to 'Default'... but that trick doesn't seem to work anymore.

Any thoughts?

Anyone? This is pretty annoying, sometimes the system corrects itself but today it's back to dropping its feed every few seconds... nothing has changed on the install end of things...

This is still happening... I've checked cables and ends, rebooted the DVR as well as camera...
