Bought a new 1080P recently and set it up as per the guide. I didn't want motion detect, so I ticked to disable it. I also upgraded the camera to the latest firmware.
For some reason the device constantly enables motion detect which is slightly worrying. I have repeatedly disabled it again using both the Android app and the Chrome pluggin, then saved it, but a couple of days later it re-enables itself.
Am I missing something?
Thanks
Dave
1080P Motion Detect Re-enabling itself
Re: 1080P Motion Detect Re-enabling itself
Hello Gingerd1 ,
Have you added the camera to Amcrest Cloud? If you have , then the cloud settings are overriding your settings on the camera. You will need to disable motion detection form the cloud.
Other than that there should not be anything that is causing this. You can try hard resetting the camera.
For this, you need to press and hold the indicator light on the back of the camera for 10 - 15 seconds. The light will turn red and the camera will do its initial pan/tilt after this. You need to set up the camera once again after this as it will reset all the settings
