Hello Everyone,
I ordered two of the Amcrest IP3M-956W Wifi Dome Cameras and set them up per the quick start guide included in the box. Both cameras are working fine and I can pull up the Live Stream on the Amcrest View App.
The problem is in connecting them to my QCam 8CH NVR. Without hardwiring them, the NVR identifies that the two cameras are in the network, but their status reads "Offline" and I haven't been able to find any way to get the status to "Previewing" like the hardwired cameras.
When I hardwire the cameras, the feed appears, however, these won't be hardwired as they'll be installed over my garage and there's no ethernet run out there.
'Offline' Status for Wireless Cameras on NVR System
Re: 'Offline' Status for Wireless Cameras on NVR System
I'll take a guess as I don't have any experience with Amcrest's NVRs. On other systems, the NVR has its own router. The wired cameras get their IP addreses from the NVR. When you use wifi, you're using your primary router so chances arevthe wired and wireless cameras are on different subnets because the wireles cameras are getting their IP addresses from your primary router. In the software, there shoud be an area where you search and manually add cameras. You need to add the wireless cameras.
I'll add that if your primary router or any of the wireless cameras reboot, the wireless cameras will change IP addreses. If your router supports it, use IP Reservation for the 2 wireless cameras.
This is how ither NVR systems work. Hopefully, this will help you get yours straightened out.

Hello balandri ,
Unfortunately the Amcrest IP cameras are not fully compatible with the Qcam NVR. They work best with Amcrest NVR.
You can try adding them as ONVIF device and see if it works. Also for wifi cameras from their settings , set the wifi ip as the default one and try again.
