WD NAS Device

Post by spamoni »

I have a 4TB WD MyCloud Device on my network. I was trying to utilize the NAS for storage. I enabled NAS, entered my IP of the NAS Device and provided the Share Name I set. For some reason nothing was being stored to the NAS device. I switched from NAS to FTP, and the NAS device also supports FTP and it worked perfectly fine.

What I am wondering is: What are the setting I need to use to utilize the NAS as my storage location and not FTP?

My Camera is the IP2M-841

Thanks

Hello spamoni ,

We suggest you use the FTP feature and record that way. The NAS only has limited support. The NAS has to support NFS and also be a no password set up.

Will do -- has been working fine that way so will continue. Was trying other features to see which would be best.

thanks for the quick response.
