Hello Jim Smyth ,

1) Currently we do not have a one button option for this. You need to go to the app and go to configuration center and select each camera to enable/disable motion detection.
2) Setting a static IP to the camera is ideal but this should not affect you as much with Foscam as port forwarding is not used. We would still advice you to set static IP on them and please give us a call to check that.
3) Currently it can only send one image per email. We are working on improving this feature.
4) Under video detection settings set the anti dither value to 20 seconds and under email settings, set the interval 3 or 5 seconds. This should increase the frequency with which you receive emails.

My Amcrest camera sends all images in a single email. I have the V2.420.AC00.16.R firmware, which is not yet available for some reason on the Amcrest site. One camera I purchased came loaded with this version. The other did not. It is very frustrating that I can't upgrade my second camera to the V2.420.AC00.16.R firmware.

I have an IP2M-841W running FW 2.420.AC00.15.R, build : 2016-09-08 and I can get multiple picture attachments on my e-mails (using g-mail if that matters). The attachment settings are a bit finicky. At first I could only get one attached snapshot per e-mail (even though I had 5 selected in event, video detection). I played with the dither setting in the same menu as snapshot and then the interval setting in Network, SMTP (Email) and eventually got 5 pictures/snapshots per e-mail. A higher dither setting definitely helped (I have it at 60 seconds currently). The interval setting sets the time between snapshots and not the time between e-mails (even though the camera manual says interval sets the time between e-mails). I figured setting interval to two seconds would get me five pictures that are taken two seconds apart. Almost. I got three pictures that were 2 seconds apart. I went back to 1 second for interval and get one e-mail with five pictures one second apart. I haven't tried it with another e-mail service, but unless google is doing some magic it seems like multiple attachments per e-mail is working with 15.R firmware (although finicky).
Edit. I am guessing that having dither at 60 seconds will keep you from getting the e-mail for >= 60 seconds after a motion event. If those settings give you multiple attachments, you could try lowering the dither setting until you start to not get multiple attachments.

This is a question under changing from Foscam to Amcrest cameras, but with a different twist and I hope you all don't mind. I am a 78 year old senior and slow to comprehend so I don't know anything to do but ask.

I had 4 F18906 Foscams running fine on wi-fi at my home. When I bought my first Amcrest and installed it, I lost one of the Foscam camera...it just disappeared from the ip config tool. OK, so I bought and installed a 2nd Amcrest 723 bullet camera, and "Ka-ching", I lost a 2nd Foscam on wi-fi, the IP disappeared from the ip config tool. That didn't teach me too much, so I bought and installed a IP2M-842 Amcrest and installed it. And the third Foscam IP disappeared from the Foscam IP config tool.

So now I have 3 Amcrest cameras streaming (don't want to do pics or record) to my desktop (showing in the Amcrest IP config tool) and visible from my iPhone. And I now have only 1 lonley Foscam IP camera showing...and streaming from the Foscam ip config tool.

Can anyone tell me why I lost the Foscam IP cameras...I can not reinstall them. Powering them on, attaching an ethernet cable, get the blinking activation light, clicking on the IP takes me to the Foscam webpage, but there is no live video...just a black page. All three of the removed IP cams are like this. Yet the one remaining Foscam streams just fine.

Am I maxed out on my broadband with the Amcrest using much more resolution and stuff? Do I have all of the wi-fi devices running on my network that I can run? Is there any way to reinstall the 3 Foscams back on my network? I thought about ethernet, but they will not stream live now?

Sorry if I intruded, but I am most puzzled about the loss of the Foscams. I sure would be grateful for some replies and advice, discussion as to what is going on in my situation. No offense in changing your subject, but this is under Foscam to Amcrest. Thanks for any communication and advice.
