I have two IP3M-943B cameras, each with a 64GB sdcard (from sandisk and adata). I installed everything, and they worked initially, with record on motion set. However, 4 times in the last month (twice on each camera), the sdcard goes missing from the Web UI. It's as though the sdcard is not there. Logging in again makes no difference, cycling power makes no difference, but if I remove and reinstall the sdcard, it comes back. All the old videos are there, up to the point when the card "disappeared". Neither card is full.
The cameras are outside, but reasonably protected from the weather. They aren't subject to a lot of vibration. As you can imagine, this is rather frustrating as the cameras are not easliy accessible. Any ideas on what's going on?
Thanks.
SDcard stops working
Re: SDcard stops working
Are you sure that the cards are 'genuine'? I bought a 64GB Kingston card which was causing all sorts of problems. I found a couple of small apps to check whether cards are genuine - mine was not and I got a refund. The fake ones tend to have far less actual capacity than what they say but they work OK until the space they have got is full at which stage the numbers don't add up and everything just grinds to a halt.
p.s. - An alternative test without any app is to put the card in a card reader into your computer. Create a folder on your desktop and fill it up with files until the folder properties show it is about 60GB in size. Format the card and then copy the folder to the card. If the copy process completes, try accessing one or two files. If it worked then the card's probably OK.

Re: SDcard stops working
Thanks for your advice. One of the cards -- a Sandisk Ultra Plus, has died completely (won't format on my PC, hot to the touch, so yeah, really dead). I've replaced it with a Samsung Evo Plus from Best Buy, full retail packaging, so I assume it's legit. I will try out your suggestion on my other card.
Re: SDcard stops working
Yes, the fake I bought had full retail packaging too (the world is full of low-lifes selling fake stuff - like on here

Re: SDcard stops working
If you have access to another memory card, insert it into the memory card reader in your computer to see if it can be read. If it can be read, your memory card is bad and likely needs to be replaced. If the other memory card is also not readable by the built-in memory card reader, it is a string possibility the memory card reader is not working. You would need to have an authorized service center look at and repair or replace the memory card reader in your computer. You can also try using an external USB memory card reader instead.
