SD Card for IPM-7215 Camera

Stupid question, but which side up do I insert the SD Card ?? With the SD Card logo facing up and the data part facing down, or vice versa?

The metal part should be facing upwards when inserting the SDcard.

Do I now have to 'flip a switch' in the setup to make the recordings go to the SD Card as my cloud storage is just the free version or does it automatically record to the SD Card. And once its recording to the SD Card where do I access those recordings? Still through the cloud??
