First post... I'm new surveillance systems and have much to learn. I have purchased and setup 5 POE cameras and a NVR. I have Googled questions that have lead to posts in this forum. And I keep reading posts where folks are pleading for Amcrest Support to assist with a problem, with no response. For example, this post on Amcrest View failing to connect:
https://amcrest.com/forum/general-discu ... t1982.html
My question is how well does Amcrest Support monitor and respond to customer issues in these forums?
(Amcrest, feel free to chime in if you read this post... and perhaps respond to the one I referenced above.)

Re: Rate Amcrest Support on this Forum
I will tell you from my limited experience I have not been happy at all. I wish I had done more research on this company. I have had the same problem with amcrest view in a login loop. According to the thread this issue is 3 months old and still not been resolved.
Personally, I'm going to be trying to sell the cameras that i foolishly bought and going to buy the Yi cameras that worked great for me.... without forwarding ports, DDNS, Etc...

Try calling them. As for port forwarding, DDNS, static IPs, etc., it's the best way regardless of whose cameras you use. Once you understand the concept, it's pretty easy.

I don't know about their support, but I do know that firmware bug fixes are not a high priority on their TO DO list.

Hello chess_tramp ,
We do try to respond to as many customers needing help as possible on the Forum. We also do provide support over phone and Email. Unfortunately some issues needs much troubleshooting and its ideal to give us a call or Email in such situations.
