Hi,
i just bought a Pro HD 1080P wifi camera and find the PTZ is very sluggish.
It's fine when i'm at home on the same network, but when i'm away from home and
using the Amcrest View APP on my iphone it's very slow/sluggish to respond to my control.
Also the Mic feature rarely connects, also the picture is clear but it skips a few seconds in time.
I've tried it in SD and HD mode and but it's still the same.
My broadband download speed at home is about 4MB and 1MB upload.
The problem is still the same whether the camera is connected direct to the router via an ethernet cable or connected by wifi.
Also i want to set it up so that when i'm away from home and it senses motion it will take a snap shot and send me a app notification and a photo. Can't see how you do this via the iphone app.
is this possible?
or can it send me a snap shot to my email address,
and if so where do i enter this on the app?
I also have a micro sd card slotted in the back of the camera.
Any help much appreciated.
VB

Hello jonniecheesecake,
The sluggish PTZ issue could be caused by low upload bandwidth and slow internet connection on the phone or combination of both. Try to use SD on the phone as it takes less bandwidth.
Both push notification on Phone and snapshot via email is possible. The email needs to be set up through the web interface of the camera from PC. For push notification, you should have the camera set up to detect motion and save images to Sd card. it needs to be configured directly through the web interface of the camera. The settings are below.
Go to Setup > Event > Motion Detect > Set the schedule for everyday.
Under Set up > Storage > Destination select the SD card card for motion detect.
Under Set up > Storage > Schedule > Snapshot > Make sure its set up for motion detect
For setting up push notification, open the Amcrest View Pro app.
Go to Menu > Push Notifications > Configuration> select the camera name, Enable the switch, select the Push type as 'Image' , select motion detect and check 'IPC'. Click on the save icon(floppy disk) on the top right. This should enable notifications for the camera.

Hi, thanks for your advice.
But what is the Web Interface for the Camera?
Is it a bit of software i need to download to my PC?
What's it's name and where can i find it?
I downloaded Amcrest IP Config, but the settings are not in there.
Also is there anyway i can improve the performance/speed of the PTZ feature other than setting my APP to SD mode.

Hello jonniecheesecake,
Web interface means the cameras built in software interface. To access this, use the IP config and click on the 'e' icon to the right of the ip address. Take a look at the below video and see if it helps. Please contact our support if you still have issues and we would be more than happy to help you.
