PC-NVR SETTING

Post by Dino »

When I go into Amcrest Surveillance Pro then select PC-NVR to set where I want the files to go on my hard drive, all the menus are grayed out, what I'm I missing to enable the menu's ?

Thanks!

Hello Dino ,

Please try the below steps.

1) In the home page of the software, go to 'Devices'.
2) Select the 'add' button
3) Now it will ask you for the below information. Please enter them as mentioned here.

a) Device Name-PC NVR (does not matter)
b) Method to add-IP/Domain
c) IP/Domain name- enter the ip address of your computer here
d) Port -37777
e) Group name - default group
f) User name:admin
g) Password: admin

4) Click add.
5) You can go to the PC NVR option after this set up and now it should work.

Thanks for the response..

On line "C" My PC or Camera IP?
I did try both but I still get all grayed out menu's and when I have my PC IP address & Info I get the error message Offline invalid login name or password.

Thanks Melvin!

OK I got the PC-NVR figured out and working, Now the last piece of the puzzle, I now can create "allocate" the hard drive space on my D: Drive, I see the "media" folder and the (10) 1 gig files it created " I allocated 10 Gig" of space. Now what I don't see were the files are going OR there not being writing. How do I point to the folder I want the motion alarm video / Snap shot pictures to go to.

Thanks!

Hello Dino ,

Unfortunately the PC NVR works in such a way that it keeps the files hidden on the drive. You can only play them back through the apply back option. If you want to save them on your computer, you can download it from the playback interface. Also if you want to free the space , you can choose the option 'free space' option under PC-NVR.

Thanks Melvin, I now have that working..However I have another question, what would cause the port 37777 to change on its own when I reboot the camera. when I go into the camera settings and select defaults it puts it back to 37777

Thanks!

Hello Dino ,

Not sure why the port is changing. It should stay at 37777 always.
