Post by timothyr64 »

how do i figure out what my ip: and port: settings should be set to for pc-nvr to work? without that information entered, it won't let me add a remote device.

I found a previous post and followed these directions;

1) In the home page of the software, go to 'Devices'.
2) Select the 'add' button
3) Now it will ask you for the below information. Please enter them as mentioned here.

a) Device Name-PC NVR (does not matter)
b) Method to add-IP/Domain
c) IP/Domain name- enter the ip address of your computer here
d) Port -37777
e) Group name - default group
f) User name:admin
g) Password: admin

4) Click add.
5) You can go to the PC NVR option after this set up and now it should work.

When I followed the above post, i got a new device, but it came up as offline (cannot find network host).
In the PC-nvr page, if i go into "pc-nvr connect" and enter the same info as per above post, it says it is logging in, but never does.
I also tried a different port # since my camera port is 3777.
I also tried my user name and password that I use to log into my computer instead of "admin" and that did not work either.
