I have the Amcrest 1080P 8CH Video Security System (AMDV10818-8B-B), and for some reason one of my cameras shuts off at sundown, and doesn't reactivate until it's bright the next morning. I thought it might be an issue with the camera, so I swapped it with another -- however, I still have the same problem. Now the new camera I've plugged into that line has the issue.
Could it be a cable issue? That camera has a longer cable run than most of my others, so I had to connect two 100' cables to cover the distance -- could that be the issue? Though I don't understand why that would explain a light sensitivity threshold issue.
Any tips would be appreciated! Thank you!
One of my cameras deactivates at sundown?
Re: One of my cameras deactivates at sundown?
Hello truckstopbz ,
It appears the camera is not receiving sufficient power to enable led /night mode at that distance. Since this camera has a longer cable run its ideal to purchase a separate adapter for powering this camera alone and keep that with in 150 ft of the camera.
