NVR 4108 playback "scrolling/sliding"?

I am trying to scroll through a playback file on my NVR. I go to the playback and select a specific file. It starts playback. at the bottom I get the green slider and see the little white "cursor" moving along and showing in 1x playback. I know you can do up to 16x playback and that works fine, but I want to grab the cursor and slide it to say a position 30 minutes in. When I slide the cursor, it jumps back to the beginning of the file.

How to I get it to scroll???

I am also experiencing the 'play from the beginning' when trying to scrub or click to the desired time. I figured it was a quirk of the software. Hopefully something that can/will be fixed 'soon'.
