Motion Dectection fails to trigger at night

I set up the 1080P camera and the motion detection is working (record into SD card when motion was triggered) fine during the day time. But at night, when it was dark out side, the motion detection fail to trigger causing the recording into SD card ran continuously during the night (7-8hrs). What did I do wrong here? I have the night light turned off because the reflection against the window glass. Please help.

Have you checked the threshold and sensitivity settings at night? You know, open the desktop app and watch the motion events to see what triggers and what doesn't? I have the opposite problem. Night time CrAp triggers more events than day. A tiny speck of dust floating by will cause it to go off.

I also have the opposite problem - too many unknown triggers at night.

I have the same problem as Jordan77 I suspect. My camera also is recording thru the night and reviewing the video I saw specs of dust or something flying around. Maybe these are triggering motion detection and recording? I will adjust the sensitivity and threshold and see what happens...

I had to lower sensitivity and raise threshold to avoid too many nighttime motion event triggers. It seems OK since I did that.
