Latest firmware for the 841 camera

I see there is a new release, 18R. I glanced at the release notes and am wondering if it is worth loading into my camera. Did it fix the audio bug introduced in 17R preventing it from working with TinyCam? Can you send multiple snapshots in an email yet? Can you throttle the number of emails sent? Did anything that used to work break ?

i updated the firmware of my two 841s to 18R so i could control their night vision function through the android app. controlling night vision via app was broken with 17R. so far so good with 18R.

I just installed 18R and it fixed the audio problem introduced in 17R where it was garbled when using tinyCam. The email alarm throttling and snapshots per email still doesn't work, just to keep us on our toes. You can load the new firmware without resetting to defaults and the new version shows up in the status screen. I'm guessing by defaulting you are using the new FTP file format and maybe the new HTTPS certificate generation. I don't use these but I defaulted anyway and imported back my settings OK.
Anyone know if this new release fixes the abnormally high bandwidth problem where the camera keeps accessing the Cloud, even if you're not using any Cloud services?
