On page 9 of the manual for the subject camera, it seems to be saying that instead of receiving its power over the ethernet cable via an injector or power switch, it can use a typical wall wart power supply? Quote from the manual:
"In addition to connecting the camera to a computer, the camera can also be connected to a power source, by
connecting the power cable to both a power outlet, and the camera.
Note: If the camera is using a PoE (Power over Ethernet) connection, DO NOT connect the camera to a power
source, otherwise this can result in a major malfunction."
Does this camera come with a typical wall wart PS or can I buy just the wall wart PS through amcrest instead of using an injector or power swith to ultimately power the camera over ethernet?
IP4M1025e POE camera question - alternate power supply?
Re: IP4M1025e POE camera question - alternate power supply?
Hello BVH,
The camera does not come with a power adapter. It is possible to use a power adapter with this camera if needed. You need a 12 volt power supply with pin size 5.5 x 2.1 mm.
