IOS app with P2P camera setup - Dynamic IP
IOS app with P2P camera setup - Dynamic IP
I have my 4 cameras setup in P2P using the Amcrest View Pro IOS app on my iPhone and iPad. I am able to view all four without any issues on both devices locally within my LAN and remotely via the iPhone 4Lte service and the iPad via outside wifi connections. During the period I have been using these new cameras, my Comcast IP has not changed. I do use NO-IP.com through other devices to allow me to retrieve a current WAN IP should Comcast change mine and I am not at home to discover it. I have set these cameras up using the standard P2P Amcrest setup. I have not opened any ports for any individual camera. If the Comcast IP changes will it affect my ability to view these cameras or does the P2P connection setup negate this concern?

Hello sig,
With the P2P method, even the wan IP changes it will continue to work.
