Install IP camera into dome outdoors

Post by Einspritz »

I have successfully installed the IP2M-841 into an outdoor mount housing. It has a 25 watt heating element and a micro fan to push around the warm air. [img]

There must be others whom have taken on a similar project. Anyone?

It was a fun little project. Lots of trial and error. It gets darn cold up here in Montana but it stays warm and dry inside housing! Would you use a heat element in yours?

Can you post the link of where you bought the housing?

Would this fit the pan/tilt from Amcrest?

The problem I had was the 2.1 power connection. I relocated the plug to a pigtail outside of the camera to avoid straining the connection.
