Hello Bmac1x,
You can use the Amcrest Surveillance Software from the above link. Add the camera with the serial number username and password and it should work from anywhere.

If you want to access your cameras away from your network, you'll need to set up port forwarding for each camera. First step is to set up the cameras with unique static IP addresses and unique HTTP ports. Make sure you assign IP addresses outside the DHCP range the router is assigning IP addresses. For ports, I usually start at 1500 and the go to 1501, 1502,...
Next, you will go to you router and set up port forwarding for each camera. Forward both TCP & UDP. If you tell me your router make and model, I can help or you can go to http://www.portforward.com.
Lastly, to access the cameras away from your network, you'll need to know your public IP address. Go to http://www.whatismyip.com for that. When you're all finished, you'll access the camera by <public IP>:<port>. Something like 73.161.9.29:1500
I hope this helps.

Ordinarily, this would be a slam dunk but a search of your modem/router shows port forwarding is unreliable. I can walk you through all the steps but you should try Melvin's way first if you plan to use the Amcrest viewer. The viewer takes care of everything. If you want to go down the path I explained, let me know.
