How to export video files from Armcrest 1080p HD WIFI CAM to PC

Post by neato »

Hello, I know I have watched a video made by manufactuer explaining how to do this, but since I don't transfer files to my PC that often I tend to forget how to do it, I just want to be able to download specific files or maybe a few files from the sdcard on my camera to the pc or external media to be used for evidence, after all that is why I bought the camera. Can someone point me to this video please? I would appreciated. Thanks

Hello neato ,

You can go to the play back option on the cameras web UI and search the files, then click on the 'scissor' symbol and then cut the video to the length you need. The files will be saved on the location specified under set up > camera > Record path.

You need to click on the scissor then click on the starting part of the video and then click on the ending part and then click on the scissor again.

Hello, Thanks Melvin, not sure what the problem is I'm using Firefox not the latest but a few version old, I know I've done it before, if I remember correctly I went to playback and then told the software to download all the files because I wanted to see how it worked, I think I selected the start time and end time then clicked on the disk Icon and it gave me the list of all the files to download and I went ahead and downloaded all of them, and deleted all of them from the SD card, and formatted it, again just trying to learn the software, and it worked fine, at one time with firefox it just kept telling me that the MMX plugin was busy or it had crashed, since then I have updated firefox but still gives me that error and won't allow to go past that. That is where I'm at now I'm going to dowload IE see if it works just for that, since I like firefox, I have tried chrome but no luck there either. I will update results for the benefit of others if they are having the same issues. thanks again.

Downloaded IE 11 I got Windows 7 64 bit, it asked me to install the plugin and I did, I launched the app clicked on playback, the time line was updated, and then clicked on the scissors, then click the startime of one of the recordings then clicked on the endtime of the recording then clicked on scissors and waited, after waiting for a few minutes nothing happened. The same thing happens when I go to the file list tab I click on the down arrow but nothing happens, I have double check the setup settings and nothing have changed all events and detections are going to the sdcard, the sdcard is working I have tried 3 different browsers and the same thing happens firefox looses the plugin or gives me the MMX busy or crash error. I've had several security cams in the past and that task was not hard at all even though technology has improved since then, I will reset everything and start from scratch or just pull the sd card out and extract the files everytime there is a need for it. I will update posts if I find a solution.

Hello neato,

Sorry to hear that you are still having trouble. Please try the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software as well if you can as it has the same options for download. Give us a call if you are still facing issues.
