How to change download video location

Post by jfriend00 »

The web interface to my HD-CVI DVR seems to default to C:\RecordDownload\ for downloading video. Since that is never the directory I'd like to download to, I would like to change the default location for downloads. Is there a way to configure that location so I don't have to manually enter a new location every time?

Hello jfriend00,

On the play back interface, you can click on file list and it will list the files you can download. Clickingon the 'more' option opens the advanced download screen where you can download individual files, download by time frame, or add a watermark to a video. Here when you select download to Local, you can select a path for the download.

That is not what I asked. I know you can do that. I don't want to have to manually go to all those extra steps just to get the videos to download to the desired location. That also means I can't just use the Download button in the much less complicated screen because that doesn't prompt for location or file type. It always just downloads a .DAV file to the default location.

I did just find that in the web interface at Setup/Camera/Encode/Path, there are boxes for paths that look like they might be what I want.

But, when I change these values and then hit Save, got out of the camera settings and then come back, the changes are not saved. So, it does not appear to work. Is this a bug? Is this setting supposed to do what I'm asking for?
