Hi folks.
According to the Amcrest NVR Quick Start Guide v4.04 (Rev. May 18, 2016) page 4, it says in the Figure 1 table to "Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to boot up or shut down the NVR".
I tried the 3 and even a 10-second hold down and it still won't shut down. Is the power button on the recorder (NV1104E) defective?
Please help.
Help! NV1104E power button defective??

I also found that the power button does nothing.
Cutting power by removing the plug does not appear to have negative consequences thus far.

The power button, sadly, is only one-way -- just to turn on the unit -- after that it does nothing. I'm thinking of ditching this and getting a Dahua NVR. At least, it's more solid and robust than this buggy one.
