So, received my Amcrest ProHD IP2M-841B the other day and have a question on storage space.
But first - what a *nightmare* getting this thing finally all set up. The hardware is dead easy, just plug it in and go. Its the software. I tried at first setting things up with the supplied interface - couldn;t get the 'plugin' to work on Safari or Firefox. The addon for Chrome is too many extra steps. I use Safari to browse and can't be bothered switching browsers for one app.
Then tried to get it all up and running with my QNAP Surveillance Station software. Which was worse.
Eventually got it all up and running using the proprietary apps on the Amcrest site (which all have flaws).
OK - so all good, the camera is wired into my home network and I managed to finally get it to record to space on my NAS (QNAP). The problem is, by the looks of it, it will just keep recording until the NAS is full. This is just daft but I cannot see for the life of me a way to limit the disk space the camera has access to, before starting to overwrite older recordings. I can see this option if you are using a local memory card or hard disk, but not my NAS - any ways to get this working gratefully received.

Where do you see the option to limit how much space is used? I have the opposite problem. I want it to use all of the space but it will only use 1/2.
