After upgrading to new firmware I no longer could download video files from SD card with audio.
Amcrest MP4 does not include audio. DAV did have audio that they removed in new firmware.
No help from support after several contacts. Reverting back to old firmware made my cameras
worse. They would not record to SD card. OK Everyone here's what to do. If you don't have a
copy of the old firmware search the internet and find it. I found my copy doing a search for
the 1-16 firmware. Put the old firmware in the camera. Reboot and login. Your camera will
be worse. Do a hard reset by holding the reset button on the camera 15 or 20 seconds. Reset
button is the green light. Hold it until it turns red. Camera will reset and reboot. It will be
back to factory default. You will have to reset everything including your IP and port.
The camera will be back the way it was before the firmware upgrade. I download using DAV
format from SD card to get audio. I use http://www.idealshare.net/?dav this software
to convert DAV to AVI that's still 1920x1080 HD. From that you can use common software to convert to what ever format you want including m2ts for Blu-Ray. I believe this will fix all the other problems you guys are having with the new firmware I read about on this forum. Amcrest tech support people are not smart enough to figure this out. They cannot be convinced there is a problem with the new firmware to let the programers know about it. I have 3 more cameras to do and killed one of them trying to solve this problem. Hope this works for you guys.

The new firmware with mp4 videos does support audio on playback. Please ensure that the under the audio settings for the camera, the encode mode is set to 'AAC'.

I was not talking about playback. Read my post again. I'm talking about DOWNLOADING
a video clip from the SD MEMORY CARD. It does not have audio in the downloaded MP4 file.
DAV did have audio. It's been removed.

Also the idealshare software I mentioned in my post. I upgraded to their latest version and it
don't have audio in converting from DAV. I'm back to the old firmware and using my old
copy of idealshare to convert DAV files to AVI for keeping that has audio. I see they released
new firmware today. Maybe that problem and others are fixed with it.
