Date keeps changing to 1/27/2018...??

Post by shoogle »

Hi, I've had this camera (IPM-HX1B) for a couple of weeks and looooove it. But a few days ago I noticed the timestamp keeps changing to 1/27/2018 for some reason. I've tried factory reset, upgrading firmware, tinkering with all time/date settings, and it still changes the date after a few minutes of being corrected. The NTP Server sync doesn't help either on or off. What the...?

Even weirder...a couple of days ago I bought another of the exact same camera to use in a different area, and the timestamp stays correct 24/7. Has this happened to anyone else??

Hello shoogle ,

Have you added the camera to Surveillance Pro software? If so, please ensure the time is synced to PC time. Also uncheck NTP settings for the camera and use PC sync option.

Well, as luck would have it... I exported the settings, then reset it to the factory settings via the browser controls. Then I imported the settings, and now the date stays correct. Last time I tried resetting it using the button on the back of the cam, so maybe that didn't work. So a factory reset seems to be what works for me.
