Anyone else finding 1080P IP2M-841B unreliable for remote viewing? It seems the device has to be rebooted every 2-3 days.
http://amcrestview.com/ or Amcrest View Pro app cannot connect to camera, was working last night.
Access to it via https will hang
So I cannot do a live view or watch the motion detection videos on SD remotely. Might have to go to FTP, but still, no live feed.
https://www.amcrestcloud.com/secure-login and the Amcrest Cloud app work.
I still get emails and notifications, but cannot see past 4hrs.
So is Amcrest secretly forcing us to use their cloud and paying subscriptions?
I am currently testing the camera to add it to a remote vacation rental, but seriously having doubts now.
Can probably get away with a switch timer or a smart one to reboot it as needed, but still, the reliability is in question now...
Any thoughts?

Re: anyone else finding 1080P IP2M-841B unreliable for remot
I have 3 of these cams installed remote at a weekend lake home and have never had a problem viewing live via the web or iOS app. I am using the cloud service so I haven't played recordings off of the SD card (which all 3 have for long term archival of recordings).
To be clear, I'm able to view live just fine using the Amcrest Live solutions (web/app) and not using the cloud service. I mention the cloud service as that is what I'll typically use for the non-live recorded events as the interface is nicer (particularly with 3 cameras) rather than going to each individual camera to view recorded events from the SD card.

I can view the camera from the iOS app, but cannot connect to it through amcrestview.com. The rest of the apps (desktop, "web app" are all useless).

I've been having a similar problem today, found this post hoping to find an answer. I can see live view from the cloud site and the mobile app on my phone on my local network. But trying to use the web view chrome app on my PC suddenly quite working. I've unplugged it and plugged it back in, but that didn't help.
Beginning to wonder if the cloud site is interfering with the web view.

Same as OP. I can view for android phone app, android tablet app and amcrestview web site using IE only. I can view while on wifi connection and through carrier data on phone. I can do this for a few hours reliably. I typically have to unplug and plug my camera back in every single day because it will lose any remote access abilities after a period of time where it hasnt been accessed. Usually a few hours. Nothing else loses connection on my network so its def camera. Almost like the wifi goes to sleep on camera after period of time. I've only had camera for less than a month. And PLEASE, would somebody please tell me what software I am supposed to use with this camera (IP2M-841W) that allows me to make changes to various settings in camera such as night vision sensitivity detector and various other settings people comment on? The only thing i have used so far with this camera is that AmcrestView Lite app for android phones, android tablets and through the amcrestview website using IE.
Oh and forgot to mention. Regarding re-establishing a connection. For some very strange reason, it only works if i disconnect the power from camera side of things, not by unplugging from wall outlet. Mysterious indeed.

You should be able to access the web admin tool that's built into the camera via web browser (on your PC connected to your home network) to view/change the settings you are looking for--use the IP Config tool that came with your camera to get the IP address and port that is/was assigned to your camera when you first connected it to your home network, then plug that IP/port # in the address bar of your browser; if done correctly you should get the login page for your camera--log in with admin/<password>.

Ahhh...thank you. I thought i needed to install some software for changing settings. Will try to login to IP later. Thanks again.

I am having the same problem with one of my IPM-721W. Has anyone found a solution or is this a defect of the camera?
