Hi Amcrest,
I have two Amcrest 722S cameras. I updated the firmware on both of them to the latest verision (V2.210.0000.6.R
3/29/16) one of them worked just fine, the second one froze part of the way through. I left it for several hours just to be safe, as I know you do not want to interrupt power or network during a firmware upgrade. It continued to be unresponsive to a ping or any other communication.
I attempted to factory reset it, which I believe may have partially worked, as I can see when it powers up, it very briefly shows the MAC address and IP address 192.168.1.108 in my ARP table, which is the default IP. however it only responds to 2 pings, within about 5 seconds of powering it on, and does not respond any further.
I also downloaded the Amcrest "IP Config" utility to see if it could find it, but it cannot either.
Please let me know if you can provide any solutions to un-brick it, or if you can send me a replacement. I really like these cameras otherwise!

Re: 722S camera bricked with firmware update
Hello jbishop129,
In the IP config tool, go to settings and set the start IP as the IP address of your router and refresh to see if the IP shows up. If it does, you can login in the IP config tool and try to update the firmware through IP config tool.
Please contact us by phone or email so that we can assist you with RMA if needed.
