Since the latest firmware update, our three cameras basically detect nothing at night. Please don’t suggest the standard reboot/power cycle/logout- login stuff. We went from dozens of recordings per night to zero. I have cards in all cameras and have resorted to continuous to try and capture movements, but any type of scroll/scrub functionality is, of course, missing.
Is this common? Did the update hose things? Should I return these, cancel the absurd cloud sub and just get cameras that work with my Synology? Calling your “customer service” is a complete joke, so I’m asking the users.
Terrible motion detection
Re: Terrible motion detection
If you are referring to the AD110 doorbell with firmware version "200828", then yes, this was a bad update and was recalled 4 days after it was released. Amcrest is not providing any way to back it out which is a seriously lame limitation of their processes. The last I heard a new firmware was "soon" but "No ETA can be given".
If you are referring to an ASH camera, sorry, I have no info on them.

These are two of the outdoor fixed and one indoor pan/scan.
On top of the loss of motion detection, one shows there’s no cloud program despite having a free one year - which was working.
Absolutely ridiculous.
