@GaryOkie I did make mention to this to Amcrest.. While I have not had anyone else mention they had issues with 828 FW there was one other that mentioned they had it going on every 5 min or so saying it was connected to network same as Mine so I thought maybe they were on 828 as well and also had offline event seeing my 702 camera while it was on NVR and pressing the button did ring my cell, Trying to answer did result in a fail to connect... The whole time the system was offline for my 828 the 702 was fine..
Some other odd things I have never paid much attention too seen for the first time today lol I am going now to do a Factory Reset on the 828 camera as it's looking little Green today.. Under the Weather and oddly just now seen it is connected at D1 lol I am not sure what it was connected at before but don't think it was on a D1 Encoding..
I will admit I have been trying to get it to fail to connect however I can't get it to go offline today and I am not sure why or what the issue was the other day while the system was offline.. I have had the Camera recording on my NVR all day.. However about 4 hours ago I had my Router Remove it form having internet Access and after about 4 minutes of that I did get the Offline in the App...However it is still connected in my NVR... Just looks really bad lol.. So to make sure it wasn't related to being offline I gave it access back and Reboot the camera and still being encoded at D1 aka 704x480 and this just isn't good in my mind.. SO I am going to Remove it from my NVR list, Go Reset it an then install it again and see if it gives it a better Encoding and I have not ever messed with Extra Stream because of issues after the first time I did and it sitting at 7FPS and 704x240 is just crazy and only a 192Kb/S lOL... I will see after a Reset..

Re: Smart Home app login issue
Ok That is better lol.. Now it is Encoding at 1080p and while it did load at 15fps I did change it to 22 not sure that it really matters.. Also my Sub loaded in at D1 and oddly it was set to 7fps so I am not sure about changing that as I don't want to have issues..
Don't know it might have been un related to the system being offline *This encoding issue* because I was working on one of my DVR's I had offline for a while. Did a Restore of Config and my Doorbell was loaded in the machine and might have been the cause.. It is hard to say I do know that Having some cameras on more then 1 Recorder isn't a great idea...

Re: Smart Home app login issue
I heard the new firmware ETA could be this Thursday.
I am not at all looking forward to updating to it until it's been driven for a while - especially to confirm local RTSP still works without a damn SH cloud connection.

Re: Smart Home app login issue
Ok so just to let you all know, the app would not allow me to even reset my password while whatever was going on. The reset was giving the Unknown whatever error. Now I was able to get the password reset and login. And guess what? Cameras are both online. All this without doing any resetting of the cameras. Also the firmware is the 200702 version. I did get an alert when I logged in that another firmware was available. Still going to try to tell me it wasn't a server issue?
Re: Smart Home app login issue
The Server has been back online since shortly after 9pm Eastern Time 8pm Central time 7pm mountain time and 6pm Pacific Time of the 18th...
About Login the App I am sorry I guess I don't remember about logging in. I am going to guess that is because I use my Finger Print to log in.. About that I am not sure again talking with Amcrest was told the Server was back online...
About me trying to tell you it wasn't Server Related I am sorry I can't say one way or another as I am not there and don't have any idea why a password wasn't able to be changed.. I guess sounds server related.. I am not sure what server that would be compared to the one that was offline to take out all the Devices this last Sunday..
Glad to hear your Devices are back on line..

@micmack - Good to hear you are back online.
You also said that you got an alert that another firmware was available. What new version is the app asking you to update to - 200828 or 20102x?
If it's 200828, I suggest skipping it.

Re: Smart Home app login issue
Yeah I am not sure about a FW update.. Sadly only one that would be able to be updated to atm is 702 is last known stable FW.. IT would be interesting to see that it was 828 as I am not getting any update Notice.. So I would guess that a Doorbell that is new or on Some Very old FW might get offered 702...

Re: Smart Home app login issue
@GaryOkie Thanks. It was the 200828. But now that I am in the app and look for if firmware updates are available it says I have the latest at 200702. It's possible they removed that update.
Re: Smart Home app login issue
Thanks. When the login is working, I don't even see it when I launch the app. I didn't change any setting to enable autologon. I just wish companies would be transparent to their users/customers in terms of outages. It most definitely was an authentication issue on one of their servers.Revo2Maxx wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 7:39 pm The Server has been back online since shortly after 9pm Eastern Time 8pm Central time 7pm mountain time and 6pm Pacific Time of the 18th...

Re: Smart Home app login issue
My smart home monitoring app suddenly is not letting me sign in. I log in and instead of taking me to the home page it says “Sorry there is a problem on our end. Thank you for your patience while we fix it.” It’s been like this for over a week. Any ETA on a fix?
Potentially helpful info: I have a iPhone 8 with iOS 13.3.1. I tried turning my phone off and on as well as deleting and reinstalling the app.
Thanks.
