Motion Detection chime

Post by mrvelous01 »

I'd swear at one time I could set a different motion detection chime for my AD110 doorbell other than my mobile's "default" notification. I've gone throught all the settings (I think) but cannot find anywhere to set it. Can anyone remind me where that setting is? Thanks.

When you Bring up the App, At the bottom there will be things like Doorbell Tone and Volume, Indicator Light, Push and so on.. IT is under that Doorbell Tone and Volume area.

In there you should have Classic Doorbell, Four-Tone Doorbell and Melody.. If that isn't what your Looking for sorry I mis-understood the question..

Since he said he was looking for the motion detection chime "other than his mobile's default notification" I assume he is wanting to change the alert sound on his mobile, not the AD110 itself.

@mrvelous01 On Android, go to Settings / Notifications . If Amcrest SmartHome isn't listed in the Recently Sent list, select "See All" to find it.

There, you will find 4 "Sound and pop-up" settings (with illogical non-descriptive names):

Push_default_ringtone - This is the doorbell button push mobile alert sound

Push_default_alarm - This is the motion detection mobile alert sound

In addition, there is also a "RingPush" and "Push_classic_doorbell_long_tone" which I have customized to a unique sound but they have never activated. I have no idea what purpose they serve.

In addition to changing the alert sounds, you can also toggle vibration, blink light, icons, show on lockscreen, and ignore do not disturb.

The above was identified through trial. It hasn't been documented by Amcrest to my knowledge.
