I have a new IP2M-853EW I setup and everything works fine except for playback to the Amcrest IOS app. When I try to play back I I can see all the events pop up but i get "Failed to connect" message.

I have 2 other Amcrest devices and it works fine. They are all setup P2P

Playback is set to extra. Switch to Main and it made no difference.

The motion playback works fine off (off of sd card) of the Amcrest chrome app on a PC (so recording is definitely happening.)

Running 2.422 Build Date 2017-12-06

Not sure what else to do?

Can you ensure your camera is on the latest firmware? The latest release was on 04/13/2018.

The stated purpose for the 04/13/2018 firmware in its changelog is:
"Fixed Amcrest View Pro Playback issue"
It fixed the problem for me several months age on a IP2M-858.

Oh great. I got it working now.

For others who might have the problem:

When I tried to upgrade the "download the lastest" button isn't doing a anything.

I found a link to the firmware at: https://amcrest.com/firmwaredownloads

Browse for the file and then hit upgrade.
