NV4108 +Foscam 9821W-V2 +Motion detection?

Hello,
I have the NV4108 setup and running. (unfortunately blocking outbound traffic to internet due to upgrade/reboot loop)
I have (1) Amcrest 1080p Outdoor WIFI bullet camera up and running as channel 1.
I have (4) Foscam 9821W-V2s up and running as channel 2-5.
I have motion detection recording working for my outdoor camera (Amcrest) but I can't seem to get any of the Foscam cameras to record in motion detection "yellow" mode. The Foscam cameras will record just fine on the constant or "Green" mode, but not on motion.
Is this possible to make my existing cameras work for motion recording or am I sending this stuff back? Is there a trick to making them work? The whole point of this was to have a single view that was always on and low maintenance.
Thanks!

Hello bartlettjw ,
Did you add the Foscam cameras to the NVR as ONVIF or Foscam as the 'type'? For the motion detection to work, you need to add the cameras as Foscam. In addition to this, you need to login to the Foscam cameras individually using their ip address and set up motion detection. This includes enabling the schedule and detection area and sensitivity level etc. Please try these and see if that works for you.

Hello Melvin,
I did add the cameras as type "Foscam" ... I've even rolled back to try ONVIF.
I have logged into each of my Foscam cameras and "enabled" motion detection, set the sensitivity, selected the detection area. I've even toggled on (within the camera "recording" which has a recording location set as none at the present moment. Am I missing something here?
I know that the cameras are seeing motion and scheduled correctly because I've set them to beep for testing.
Thanks!

I was able to get an older Foscam unit working. Is there a compatibility issue with the 9821Ws?
3 are 9821W V2s running firmware version 2.11.1.119, hardware version 1.4.1.10.
1 is a 9821W V2.1 running firmware version 2.21.1.127 hardware version 1.5.2.11.
I have 4 of this is a major issue for me.

Hello bartlettjw ,
It appears that three is some compatibility issue with some of the Foscam models on certain firmware versions. It should record on a schedule without any problem.

Melvin,
Is this something being addressed within a firmware release for the NV4108 or is there a recommended firmware version for the model Foscam cameras that I could roll back?

Hello bartlettjw ,
Sorry for the delayed response. I will contact the R&D about a firmware update. As of now, we cannot guarantee 100% functionality for NVR with Foscam models.

Have this ever been resolved? I have same issue with 2x Foscam C1, works fine recording to camera SD card for motion detection, but can't get it to trigger on the NVR (NV4108-HS) motion detection recording.
I have thems etup as ONVIF right now, how do I add them as "Fsocam" type? it is not one of the manufacturer or protocol type listing when I try to add a camera
