IP2M-841 Deleting FTP files after a couple of hours

I just spent most of my morning getting FTP storage to work through my router and everything is actually working there now but with one HUGE problem. The FTP files are being deleted without notification and it cannot keep the files for more than an hour or two before they disappear. I set this up at 11:30am and it is now almost 3pm. The only files still there are the 1pm and 2pm folders. This is not OK as my 32gb SD card now has a greater storage capacity than my 2TB HDD.
I'm on the 06/29/17 release of the firmware, hard booted after install, set my camera back up as new with no config imports, and verified all of my settings. There are certain flaws with the old firmware that required me to use the new version so rolling back is not an option. I saw another thread with the same issue from MONTHS ago with no resolution from support.
I need to know if someone has found a solution to this or if it is even possible to fix as there has been no further firmware updates and no official answers. This NEEDS to work with my FTP storage or I'm going to have to return it. Really a disappointment as the picture quality is quite good.

As you know, this problem has been discussed and reported to Amcrest without any resolution. I wouldn't hold out for them to supply a fix either. They have not provided a single fix to most of the issues raised on this forum in the past 6 months.
Not sure what FTP solution you are using, but for me I finally "solved" the problem by setting the "Enable write-only access on FTP connection" on the folder that I save these files to. So the cameras can write to this folder, but not delete from them. This is a feature on a QNAP NAS that I use, not sure if it will apply to your setup.
If you cannot do this and you are still within the time frame to return the camera, I would return the camera...

Well thanks for getting back to me Kvic. I tried something similar to your solution but with just write, I get a connection error from the camera. I'm using my router as an FTP server with a 2TB usb 3.0 HDD attached directly to it because that's the only device that stays on 24/7. The router actually functions quite well as an FTP server but the user ACLs are a bit lacking so it looks like it has to have R/W active all the time. Oh well. Thank you for your response.

Hi nicholasbkr89.
I reported this back in June 2017. See:
https://amcrest.com/forum/technical-dis ... t2787.html
Support informed me by email that they have reproduced the issue and are "working on it". Still no resolution after 8 months.
As kvic says Amcrest seem not to be interested in fixing their broken products, only in selling shiny new hardware to the unsuspecting using flashy marketing. It's a shameful way to run a business.
