IP3M-HX2W WI-FI Setup

I am trying to connect this camera to my home WIFI. For various reasons, there is no security/password on my home network. It is open and does not require a password.
When trying to setup the camera using the app on my phone, it asks for a WIFI password. I have tried leaving this blank, or typing in random numbers....but in each case it proceeds to the audio sync portion where the phone plays a series of tones, and then after awhile tells me that it cannot connect to my network.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to proceed?
