Hi,
I'm new to the forum and I hope someone can help me with my issue. I have migrated from blue iris to a NVR4116. I had no problem getting the cameras connected, recording with motion detection, etc. I have a mixture of cameras, but I got them all working. When I went to set up email notifications, I started with Gmail and have tried a few other smpt's. So far I have the same problem with each. i can get a test message email to go out, but I cannot get a motion detection email to go out. I have checked the appropriate boxes on the detection page for the cameras I want to send emails. So far I have not been able to get any motion emails to send. But, as I said, I can get the test emails to send just fine.

Any suggestions?

For someone with Amcrest, if they read this, any suggestions?

I have a new 4116 and motion emails work for me. I have not tested this extensively, but one thing I noticed is if I set more than one motion detection region (with different thresholds and sensitivities), emails were not sent.

I appreciate the response, but thats not my problem. I only have one zone set up on each camera. I can send test emails and Health check emails, but no regular motion detect emails. I've tried on 5 different cameras three of which are Amcrest.

Have you checked the settings on the NVR config page as well as the camera? I recall having to set and refresh mine more than once to get the setting to be retained. I think I set it in the camera, but then it was not set on the NVR config page, so I set in on the NVR config page. Eventually, it retained the setting. I know I'm reaching here, but I don't have enough knowledge to offer more.

Well I'm not sure what happened, but last night it started sending emails. I had checked the settings again and I sent a few more test emails and it started working. I'm not sure what I did. I don't recall changing anything, but its working now.
