iOS Push Notifications do not work through NVR 4116E

I have 9 cameras, 5 of which are 1025E, 2 of which are IP2M-841, 1 IP3M-943.
The iOS app was updated 2 weeks ago on December 2017.
If I manually add the IP of the IP2M-841 camera to the phone, the push notifications work. If I add the NVR and then add the push notification for NVR channel 6 for example, which is the same camera, push notification do not work.
I have tried everything on the phone and the camera and nvr settings. Tech support has tried to help me over the phone but it just doesn't seem to work.
I can confirm that the NVR does get the motiondetect on all the cameras because under 'ALARM' category, I do see a log of all the motions for every channel.
