PC NVR stopped recording on its own even camera and pc are online

HI
I have a setup with a IP3M-943B ProHD Outdoor camera and Surveillance Pro/PC NVR setup on a PC that is on 24/7.
I started the PC NVR recording starting in Sept 15, and it has been fine initially, and I can see the recorded video in the first week with no problem, so I've left it alone trusting that it will do its job. Last week, I encountered a vandalism problem and I really need to look at my video footage. Upon checking the playback from surveillance pro, the system keeps giving me message saying the channel has no records! I'm sure nothing has changed on the setup, and things should be recorded, and when I look further on the playback search calendar, I noticed the video recording was available from 9/15, but stop after 9/26.
I'm now very angry and frustrated as well because I chose a product that doesn't work as advertised, and I lost the chance to record a video footage I really need. The software also doesn't have any useful log to tell you what went wrong (failure as a software without proper log coverage).
Amcrest admin: how would you solve and avoid such problem from happening again? I'd like to stick with the system but I have to say it is a FAILURE without an acceptable level of reliability.
