Not showing up on Roku TV

My 650 TVL is not showing up on my Roku TV. Probably resolution. What can I do to solve this? Is it because of switch from VGA to HDMI? Would it be better to get a VGA to Coaxal switch?
My Roku TV does not have a lot of options to change the resolution on the imputs.
