Vivint Security System

I'm concerned whether or not, I'll get a correct answer to this question, but my Vivint Security System is both ZWave & Nest compatible. When I asked this question to another, the answer was that the Amcrest cameras that are supposed to be ZWave compatible, actually are not. Can someone clarify that for me?
