Hello, looking the log of my IP2M-841 I found the System user in action:

Code: Select all

87	2017-05-27 04:52:49	System	Eject
88 2017-05-27 04:52:47 Modify Password
89 2017-05-27 04:52:39 System Save Configuration
90 2017-05-27 04:52:38 System Event Begin
91 2017-05-27 04:52:38 System Start up
92 2017-05-27 04:52:38 System Auto Maintain
93 2017-05-27 04:52:01 System Reboot
94 2017-05-27 04:20:50 Modify Password
95 2017-05-27 03:20:40 Modify Password
96 2017-05-27 02:20:57 Modify Password
But this user is not present in the users list.
What is his purpose? Can I remove it?
There are also a lot of "Modify Password" without user (about one for hour).. who is doing what?
Thank you.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're being hacked. I'd reset to factory and start over. I checked 3 of my Amcrest cameras and have none if that.

I found that the "reboot" and "auto maintain" events derives from my setting (Setup/System/Auto Maintain) but I can't understand the "modify password" without user.
Thank you.
