Thank you to whomever is kind and knowledgeable enough to answer this question.

This question relates to the IP-841 camera as used with the Amcrest View Pro App and with Motion Detection set to Off.

If the camera is plugged into power, does it always transmit data even when the View Pro app is not active on the Iphone?

Or does the camera only begin to transmit data after you have logged in, on the Iphone, to the View Pro app and are either viewing or recording on the app.

And what is the range of data useage (from lowest res to highest res) when one is just using Live View (not recording at all)

The camera when connected to power and a network can transmit some data over the internet. This is for checking firmware update and maintaining connection with the P2P server etc. This is however only a negligible amount of data.

It will take more data only when its being viewed through the app. If it is HD then it can take around 30GB for 24 hours. If sub-stream only is used on the phone , it can be around 10 GB.
