Foscam to Amcrest Cameras...losing Foscam cameras on wifi.

I had 4 Foscam F18906 IP wi-fi cams streaming to my desktop using the Foscam IP Config tool. After I began getting Amcrest email ads, I tried to determine if Foscam and Amcrest were combining or were there two different camera companies. It appears to me that Amcrest cameras are better, smaller, and easier to install.

Regardless I bought a Amcrest 723 bullet camera and installed it to stream to my desktop (and image view to my iphone). When I added the new Amcrest 723 camera, one of my old Foscam IP cameras just disappeared from the Foscam IP config tool and went off line wi-fi.

I bought and installed a 2nd Amcrest 723 bullet camera, and a 2nd Foscam camera’s IP disappeared and went off line.

Finally I bought a IP2M-842 Amcrest and installed it to stream to my desktop and view on my iphone.
And Foscam IP wifi cameas no. 3’s IP address disappeared from the Foscam ip config tool and went off-line.

I tried to reinstall each of these cameras by bringing them inside near my router, powering them up (new power supply), connected them to a ethernet cable then to my router (the activation lights were blinking). But the IP address would show momentarily on the Foscam IP config, and then disappear. When it would stay on I tried to reconnect the Foscam cameras, but instead of getting a video, I would get a black screen on all of the cameras.

Now I have only one Foscam streaming, and the three Amcrest cams are streaming just fine.

I am a 78 year old senior and am slow to comprehend a lot of tech stuff, but can anyone tell me whey I lost the three streaming IP wifi Foscams...one each time I installed an Amcrest camera?

Is it because I don’t have enough bandwidth with the high resolution Amcrest cameras now, do I have too many wifi devices connected? I have closed out the Amcrest cameras (not unplugged them), and none of the 3 Foscams still will video activate or show a continuous IP on the Foscam IP config tool.

I seldom stream more than three of my 4 Amcrest cameras, but do stream the one Foscam camera. Is 4 wifi cameras my max that I can run?

I was thinking there would be some way to ethernet the Foscam IP cameras, but seeing as I can’t get them to activate now, how would that be possible? How do other people run 6-8 IP cameras on their home network? How could I use the IP Foscams that are down now...would I have bandwidth to somehow ethernet them?

I would be grateful for any discussion, advice, and input.

I suspect you're having IP conflicts. I recommend you set static IPs for all your cameras outside the DHCP range. Unplug the Amcrest cameras and see if the Foscams come back online. Neither brand is better or worse than the other.
