I've recently purchased a IP2M-841B cam to add to my current NVR (NV3108E) but I am encountering problems.

I can connect to the cam over wifi using the web/desktop/app interface without a problem however I can not connect it to the NVR over wifi. I have no problem connecting over ethernet

When it is connected by cable it shows up automatically on the NVR. When it is connected to the same network wirelessly it doesn't show up. I've tried manually adding the camera by IP and it still doesn't connect.

Can someone point out what I am doing wrong?

Are you sure the nvr has wi-fi?

Please try changing the IP address of the NVR and reboot it. (For eg: If the NVR ip is 192.168.1.108 change it to 192.168.1.50). Of course you need to ensure not other devices in the network are using that Ip address.

I have followed as instructed, changed the IP of the NVR (ensuring that there are no IP conflicts with the newly assigned IP) and then rebooted the NVR. The IP2M-841 which I checked is on the network does not automatically appear on the "Auto Add" portion of the NVR. I attempted to manually add the IP of the IP2M-841 to the NVR and it's status shows "offline". I then, out of curiosity, made sure the password was incorrect when adding the camera manually, and it still said "offline" instead of "wrong password" as it should, so the NVR is making no attempt or can not find the camera when it is on the wireless network.

What else should I look at?

Can you also try changing the IP address of the camera in the same subnet and delete the cam from NVR and try to search again? As long as the camera and the NVR are on the same Network it should work. Are you able to access the web interface of the NVR from a PC?
