Cannot connect IP2M-841E to amcrestcloud

Hi all, thank you for your time.
I have 5 IP2M-841E cameras, of which 2 can connect to amcrestcloud, the other three will not connect.

I can reach all five cameras from within my network. All five have the same (non-default) password.

When I try to add the cameras to my account, I receive a "The camera you are trying to add/modify is not connected to the cloud" error.

I have a log of my network traffic, showing the cameras reaching out to the AWS amcrestcloud servers, and my rules are not blocking this traffic.

I have updated the firmware on all 5 cameras to the latest available.

Network>P2P is enabled and status shows as "Online"

All five have DHCP enabled and are connected to the same switch. The switch is rated for 80W over PoE.

I have tried setting manual IP addresses with manual DNS settings.
I have tried power cycling the devices.
I have tried factory resetting the devices.

I have submitted a ticket to amcrest for support but have not received any response. (351028)

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks. Stay well.

First thing they will offer and maybe get it out of the way.. Have you tried a Hard Reset of the cameras???

If not.. I would try that and get it out of the way.. Go to the Camera, Press and hold in the LED for could be upto 30 seconds but most times only 5 seconds... The LED if you have it on it will go off if you don't have it on then it will flash to let you know it is starting the Hard reset..

You will have to add back in all the info..

Don't forget the Password and user name will be reset back to admin admin...

Yes, I have performed a hard reset / factory reset on the cameras - to no avail.

Update! I received a message from Mario at Amcrest yesterday. He asked if I had tried power cycling the device. I replied that yes, I had, and linked to this thread.

Hi Mario! Please email or call me at your convenience, I'd like to get these cameras working.

Thanks for the update.. Sadly it is hard at times to know what has been done and so when offer of ideas of what could be done to help with the problem at hand...

I guess the next question is what is your Network/Internet speed? Have you tried to turn off one of the ones that connect to see if one of the ones that don't connect will connect? I am not sure again just ideas of something to try and troubleshoot the issue... If one taken off and another one that didn't connect does then it could give an idea of what the issue is?

So are these going to a Free account or paid account? I know that or thought that free account was for 1 camera only? Paid you can pay for however many as you need?

Question I have is why are you trying to have your data go to the cloud? Maybe something to think about is setting up ASP and having a computer at home hold your data that way you save on some network traffic to the internet? This is if you don't have a NVR and don't plan on getting one.. It is an idea.. While I don't mind using a Cloud if there is a bigger reason to hold data offsite... But if it is for storage and you have a PC ASP and PC-NVR could be an option?

If it is to be able to view your camera from outside your network as the only reason with P2P setup on your cameras that is already an option...

Just asking as I don't know what your trying to do besides get more then one camera to connect to a cloud?

Hi James, thank you for your comment!
I want first to confirm that the cameras work reliably.
I'm not worried about recording and storage yet, for now, I just want to confirm that the camera can be viewed remotely.

I disconnected all but one camera, then I created a new (free) amcrestcloud account and tried to add that one camera. It doesn't connect :(

Mario recommended that I try a static IP and google's DNS. I made these changes, restarted the camera, but no dice, still no connection. I'm running out of options.

Well that is very strange... However to be honest I don't like using Cloud or the Amcrestview dot com as a way to connect to my cameras from outside my network.. There is another area that could be Hacked and then they would have access to my cameras and I have enough issues with trying to keep my camera feeds mine... While I do have another Cloud based camera in use and do pay for service. I don't have that Camera in a place that it matters if someone hacks my camera or finds out the Pass code seeing that is only used for that camera and nothing else...
