I recently purchaced a 8 meg POE camera, and am a little confused on the video quality.
Hopefully it is just a setting that I have messed up but to be frank it is terrible.

I went through and reset all the video config back to default thinking it was something i messed up. I also swapped out my POE supply thinking maybe that was the problem.
I tested the network cabled with my cabled tester, all the wires seem to test ok.

Anything else I should be looking at?

I am viewing it in the amcrest viewer.

Here is the a screen shot from Blue Iris.

Hmmm More trouble shooting might have found my issue. I switched the other network cable connecting my poe power supply to the switch, and switched ports on the switch. and it is looking much better.
So it appears that one of those two items had gone bad. :)

Hello and Welcome to the Forum

Nice that you were able to find out some of the problem.

Beautiful Winter Wonder Land. Geez I was just happy to get the First snow the other day lol... Going to give 3 to 6 in tonight. Love the snow myself. Be safe.

Thanks :)

As long as my tractor / snowblower keep working, and my firewood doesn't get buried in snow, then I don't mind it.
I think 4-7 was what they were calling for today, (Mid Michigan).

I have two more 8 meg cameras to put up, just have to find some time to run the wires.
This is my first POE, camera, that is a lot nicer than having to get power out to it, and a lot better than Wifi. My 2.4 ghz network is getting beat up by the other cameras.

Yes understand about the Beatings lol... My routers could live long while before any of my IP cameras came along Now if I don't restart them weekly things get out of wack. Now I have normal traffic on a different Router so they don't get disonnected when it goes down lol
