OUTDOOR CAM SUGGESTION

Already have two Amcrest Cameras (one outdoor IP3M and an indoor PTZ unit)

I need one more outdoor camera with these features :

1. Outdoor cam capable to withstand -30 C weather
2. Would like to the ability to clearly see 30 - 35 feet away and recognize a licence plate or human
3. Not sure if bullet versus dome is a better choice
4. Power is not an issue
5. Cannot run any cabling to a router etc so I need wireless
6. Is a power line adapter an option and how would that work as my router does not have any empty ports
7. Any models I should consider
8. On some of the cam's tech specs it will show for example a 2.8mm lens and then a 4mm lens or even 3.6mm lens. When I talk to Amcrest they see these options are not available

Any other suggestions or feed back is appreciated

Hi DYNO1,

Unfortunately amcrest outdoor cameras are not recommended to use below -10 deg C, bullet is preferred if it is wall mount and dome is recommended for ceiling mount.

A cameras that goes to -30C per spec sheet, and has a motorized varifocal lens:
IP4M-1054EW, IP4M-1056EW

A better camera (turret style) that goes to -40C is:
IP2M-858, IP2M-853EW, IP4M-1053EW.

Powerline adapters should work fine, depending on house wiring, distance, etc. and temp at the location. Attach a Network Switch to your router for more ports.
