How has the remote access to the DVR been? Currently I am using the Amcrest Cloud for my outdoor bullet camera as I wish to be able to monitor my home while I am away. I have tried using the Amcrest View Pro software to connect directly to the camera. It does work but it seems a bit unfriendly as far as video playback. I also think part of the issue is that the camera is connected via wifi and I think it takes longer for the video to download. The live stream works find and I can adjust settings on the camera fine. It is a little delayed which again I think goes back to the wifi.

I have a 16 channel HDCVI analog system. It’s rock solid. I have 12 cameras. My wife and I have the mobile app, I access it via web browser at home/remote. Even have an old lcd monitor hooked up just for looks more than anything. Really quite happy with it. There’s quirks - motion detection isn’t perfect, some settings are a little hard to figure out what they do - but its great.

I show it to people that dropped $400 on a pair of arlo cameras and they look ill when they ask me what it cost for this system.

I have never tried the Amcrest Cloud. I use the Amcrest View Pro app (iPad and iPhone) connected directly to the NVR via static IP address (using router loopback when local). It has worked very well. Playback works fine. Any occasional slowness I assume is my LTE connection, but generally the speed is not much different than local. Since I have nine cameras, I default live view to the sub stream and only go to the main stream if I need the higher resolution. Running all nine cameras in live view with the main stream does slow things down.

Based on the issues I had with connecting cameras via Wifi, I would certainly suspect that could be contributing to your issues. I had really hoped that Wifi would work since it's so convenient, but I just wasn't happy with it.
