Import/Export settings not working?

I have a Amcrest IP2M 841 IP camera which is running firmware v2.420.AC00.16.R, build : 2016-09-09. My issue is that while the various browsers that I have tried on my Mac (Firefox, Safari, Chrome) can connect to the camera and I can login and change settings I am unable to use the System->Export settings function. I see the webpage with the Import and Export buttons but clicking on either does not do anything. Has anyone seen this before?

Note, I have not installed the browser plugin from Amcrest because it isn’t signed by Apple and I don’t like adding more plugins to a browser since it usually affects browser reliability in a bad way. I’m hoping that this isn’t the reason I can’t Export my camera settings.

To the rationale for not installing this plugin I would only add that it scores 2 stars out of 5, with 498 reviewers in Chrome webstore, as this writing...
