Normal?

Post by steamer »

In IP config, configuration, Profile, I see three options from the dropdown menu. Day, night and normal. Day and night are self explanatory. Normal? What does that mean in this context?. Ok, jokes too but the answer would be appreciated.

My guess is Day means IR on, Night means IR off, and Normal means automatically switch between IR off and IR on based on light conditions.

Both Day and Night profiles have a switch at the near bottom of the menu to turn night vision auto or off. Normal adds two more options, d/n sensitivity and Delay. seems like some redundant controls, I guess it doesn't matter, but seems I like to know and the help menu isn't helpful to my understanding on this detail. Thanks for the reply.

I'm here for the same question really. On my 842Es, the documentation seems to imply that 'Normal' in profile management would switch between the Day and Night profiles automatically. But it doesn't seem to do this, and might be just using the 'Normal' profile instead. The docs aren't terribly clear, though. What should be happening?
