Clicking noise

My camera is making a clicking noise that I think is either taking a picture or something to do with the night vision. I have disabled night vision but still hearing the noise.

When looking at the camera on my phone with the app. it seems to change to black and white with the click and then back to color.

Any ideas what could be causing this and how to make it stop!?

The clicking is not the Night Vision. It clicks when it switches between Color and Black&White. Night Vision will only work under B&W mode.

You need to change the Day & Night setting from Auto to either Color or B&W to stop it from clicking. Keep in mind that Night Vision won't work under permanent Color mode.

I know this is an old thread, but is there a way to prevent it from clicking when switching to B&W? I have an old Insteon that doesn't click when switching. Why do all new cameras have to click? BTW, I've tried Foscam/Insteon/Amcrest recently and all three click.

The clicking annoys me as well. Apparently they use a mechanical relay to do the switching. Very annoying as this is supposed to be a surveillance device. People / intruders can hear this clicking and it draws attention to the camera. Should have used solid state switching...
